Oil Catch Tank – Essential for Engine Performance & Cleanliness

When blow-by gas is returned directly to the engine, it can lead to reduced combustion efficiency, engine oil degradation, and other performance issues. The moisture and oil content in blow-by gas can adhere to critical intake components such as the airflow sensor, pressure sensor, surge tank, throttle valve, spark plugs, and piston head, potentially impairing their proper function.

An oil catch tank is designed to keep the engine clean by capturing blow-by gas before it is reintroduced into the intake system. It separates and collects oil and moisture, preventing contamination of intake components. This is especially crucial during high-RPM driving, such as on the track, where excess engine oil can be expelled along with blow-by gas. By collecting this oil, the catch tank helps prevent road surface contamination.
